Your pictures, your privacy

Privacy policy

Little Pieces is designed to keep your puzzle photos on your device.

Effective October 13, 2026 · Developer: Varun Kohli

What this policy covers

This policy explains the current Little Pieces app for iPhone and iPad, this support website, and messages you choose to send to support. The app does not send your puzzle photos or gameplay to the developer.

Photos and permissions

You can select individual pictures through Apple’s system photo picker. If you choose to browse albums, iOS asks which photos Little Pieces may access. You can allow selected photos or broader access, and change that permission in your device’s Settings.

The album browser reads the albums, thumbnails, and photo information your permission allows it to display. Only pictures you choose to import are copied into the app. Those copies are prepared on your device for puzzle play. The app does not edit or delete your originals in Photos.

If an original is stored in iCloud Photos, Apple’s Photos services may download it to your device before import. Little Pieces does not operate a photo-upload or photo-sync server.

Information stored on your device

The app stores imported photo copies and a local library record. The record includes photo identifiers and image fingerprints used to recognize previously imported pictures and avoid duplicate imports. It also remembers whether you completed the welcome screen.

A compact record remains after you remove a picture, so the app can recognize it if you add it again. These records are not sent to the developer. There is no total photo-import allowance in the current free version.

Progress for an open puzzle stays in memory. Starting a new game, or opening the app after it has been terminated, starts fresh. The app does not restore completed games.

Little Pieces has no cross-device photo synchronization of its own. Your device or iCloud backup may include local app data, depending on your Apple settings. Apple manages those backups.

Free use and Apple services

The current version allows unlimited photo imports and all puzzle sizes without a paywall. It does not offer an In-App Purchase or process payments. Apple’s handling of Photos services and backups is described in Apple’s privacy information.

Your choices and removal

You can play all starter puzzles without granting photo access. Changing photo permission stops additional library access; copies already imported remain available until you remove them from Little Pieces.

To remove an app copy, open that picture’s puzzle setup, tap the trash icon, and confirm Remove photo. The original remains in Photos. The local recognition record described above remains.

Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. Copies in device or iCloud backups are controlled by your backup settings.

Support messages

If you email kohli.varun5@gmail.com, Varun receives the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send and uses them to respond to your request. Email is handled by the email services you and the developer use. Please avoid sending personal photos, payment-card details, or account passwords.

You can use the same address to ask about information you have provided through support, or request its deletion.

Optional TestFlight beta testing

If you choose to test Little Pieces through Apple’s TestFlight, Apple automatically collects crash logs, beta usage and device information and shares it with Varun Kohli to help improve the app. Apple also collects and shares feedback you choose to send, including comments and screenshots. Contact information may be included depending on how you were invited and the feedback you provide; Apple says your name and email are not visible to the developer when you join only through a public link. These beta services are separate from Little Pieces, which does not include its own analytics SDK. See Apple’s TestFlight & Privacy notice for details.
