How do I start a puzzle?

Tap a picture on the Photos page, choose 6, 12, or 15 pieces, then tap Play. Drag pieces from the bottom tray onto the board. You can also tap a piece and then tap its highlighted spot. Swipe the tray sideways to find more pieces.

The eye button shows or hides the picture hint. When you finish, the picture stays visible: Again starts a fresh game, and Photos takes you back to your pictures.

Can I add more than two photos?

Yes. The current version is free to use with unlimited photo imports, all puzzle sizes, and four starter pictures. There is no paywall or purchase required.

You can select up to 20 individual photos or 30 album photos in one batch. Add another batch whenever you like. Those batch sizes help keep imports manageable; they are not a total allowance.

How do I add my photos?

Tap the add-photo icon on the Photos page. Pick specific photos opens Apple’s photo picker. Choose from an album lets you browse pictures available under your Photos permission.

Your selected photos are copied into local app storage. You can play starter puzzles and already imported pictures offline.

Why can’t I see a photo or album?

With limited photo access, the album screen only shows pictures you have allowed. Use its photo-access controls to choose more pictures, or use Pick specific photos instead.

You can manage Little Pieces’ Photos permission in your device’s Settings. If an original is stored only in iCloud Photos, a working internet connection may be needed to download it before import.

How do I remove a photo?

Open an imported picture’s puzzle setup, tap the trash icon, and confirm Remove photo. This removes the app’s photo copy. Your original in Photos is kept.

A small local recognition record remains, so the app can identify the picture if you add it again. See the privacy policy for details.

Does the app save or sync my progress?

Each new Play action starts a fresh shuffled puzzle. Briefly switching away from an already-open game keeps its progress while the app remains running. Ending the app and opening it again starts fresh.

Your imported photos stay on the device where you added them. Little Pieces does not provide its own cross-device sync. Device backups are managed through your Apple settings.

Can I use light mode, dark mode, or Reduce Motion?

Yes. The app follows your device’s appearance and supports portrait and landscape play on iPhone and iPad. With Reduce Motion enabled, the completion celebration uses stationary decoration instead of falling confetti.
